musée des Beaux-Arts de Brest aux visiteurs\, à partir de jeudi soir minuit. C’est pour cela que tous les événements à venir sont annulés. \nLa nuit des musées prévue pour le samedi 14 novembre est annulée à ce jour\, ainsi que toutes autres activités organisées par le Musée et l’Artothèque du musée et cela jusqu’à l’annonce de la fin du confinement. \n– \nLe noir est une couleur\, emprunte son titre à une exposition réalisée en 1981 à Paris par Mogens Andersen où étaient présentées vingt peintures de l’artiste. Souvent considéré comme la couleur des ténèbres et de la mort\, le noir est pourtant pour certains artistes un moyen d’explorer par contraste les nuances\, la texture\, dans un dialogue fait d’ombres et de lumière. \nL’exposition propose de croiser les regards sur les estampes de quatre grands peintres abstraits de la seconde moitié du XXe siècle\, extraites de la collection de l’artothèque. Ils ont tous en commun d’appartenir à une génération qui\, dans les années d’après-guerre\, revendique le geste et le signe\, dont le travail est lié à une recherche permanente sur la lumière et la matière. \nIls entretiennent aussi une amitié et une proximité artistique\, œuvrant tous à un renouveau de la pratique picturale. Mogens Andersen et Pierre Soulages partageront une amitié qui commencera dès 1951 au Danemark et qu’ils ne cesseront de cultiver. André Marfaing et Olivier Debré célèbrent leur amitié au point de réaliser parfois des œuvres en commun.
