créations originales qui témoignent de la singularité de la création contemporaine et des images. \nInitiée par le ministère de la Culture dans le cadre de « BD 2020\, l’année de la bande dessinée »\, cette commande vise à souligner les liens qu’entretient la bande dessinée avec les arts visuels dans la création contemporaine. \nLes œuvres choisies dans le cadre de cette commande publique seront exposées dans les médiathèques du réseau et circuleront sur l’ensemble du territoire de Brest métropole. Elles présenteront le travail de Stéphane Blanquet\, Clément Charbonnier-Bouet\, Jérôme Dubois\, Philippe Dupuy\, Pierre La Police\, Camille Lavaud\, Gabrielle Manglou\, Amandine Meyer\, Lisa Mouchet\, Saehan Parc\, Loulou Picasso\, Sammy Stein. \nCes œuvres seront présentées sous la forme d’un parcours d’expositions entre mars 2022 et février 2023. La médiathèque de Gouesnou inaugurera ce parcours en mars qui sera suivie en avril par la médiathèque de Guilers\, puis Le Relecq-Kerhuon pendant la période estivale. La médiathèque de Guipavas fera sa rentrée de septembre 2022 sous le signe de la BD\, et Plouzané poursuivra en novembre. L’exposition Phénomènes ! se propose d’explorer comment la figure des êtres magiques\, des créatures à la marge\, des agents perturbateurs et de leurs complices chimériques sont représentés\, de l’art ancien à l’art contemporain. \nAprès avoir proposé des regards croisés en 2019 autour du paysage\, l’artothèque et le musée ont souhaité renouveler la mise en regard de leurs collections municipales. Plus de 80 œuvres de l’artothèque et une douzaine d’œuvres du musée résonnent formellement et s’accordent autour du thème énigmatique de la magie. \nCroyances\, chimères et fictions participent à l’invention des formes dans un parcours qui embrasse l’histoire de l’art du 17 e siècle à la création contemporaine. De Robert Filliou à Annette messager\, de Corinne mercadier à Tomi Ungerer\, en passant par noémie Goudal et Barthélémy Toguo\, Phénomènes ! interroge la manière dont l’art s’écrit au-delà du réel\, renversant le monde par la puissance des imaginaires. Au centre de l’exposition\, l’installation vidéo de Laura Gozlan entremêle film expérimental\, film de genre et archives scientifiques. text_direction= »default »]Présenté en 2021\, au Festival Circulation(s)\, de la jeune photographie européenne\, le travail de Bobby Beasley documente son quotidien\, sa famille\, les gens qui l’entourent\, les endroits qu’il aime et les situations qui l’amusent. Photographe autodidacte\, Bobby Beasley travaille en parallèle dans la boutique de vêtements vintage gérée par ses parents à Hull. Une grande partie de sa production est ainsi lié à sa propre vie de commerçant dans le Nord de l’Angleterre à travers des photographies inspirées de rencontres fortuites\, saisies sur son lieu de travail\, chez ses parents ou dans la rue. \nRéalisées tout au long de l’année 2020\, les photographies exposées à l’inventaire sont issues de la série Roughly 1.000 Miles per Hour\, alors que la planète traversait une crise sanitaire inédite et que tout semblait étrangement déformé. Avec l’étonnement comme moteur photographique\, Bobby Beasley s’attache à saisir les plaisirs simples de la vie et les situations inhabituelles liées à cette période. Il fait le choix d’utiliser des flashs puissants\, des optiques déformantes\, des cadrages décalés conférant à ses clichés une touche surréaliste qui sied bien à l’atmosphère bizarre de cette époque : les êtres et les objets apparaissent comme suspendus à un temps indéfinissable. \nLe titre de la série s’est imposé à l’artiste tandis qu’il sélectionnait les photos à exposer pour le festival Circulation(s). Il s’est souvenu d’une discussion avec son père au sujet de la pandémie\, lui expliquant : « Nous sommes tous debout sur un rocher qui tourne à environ 1000 miles par heure. Nous tournons autour d’une énorme boule de feu dans un univers infini ».
