text_direction= »default »]Elsa Tomkowiak est invitée\, par l’artothèque de Vitré Communauté\, à produire une œuvre dans l’atrium du théâtre de Vitré. Cette artiste plasticienne\, qui vit et travaille à Douarnenez\, réalise à travers le monde des installations à grande échelle sur différents sites (château\, musée\, théâtre\, parc…). Elle donne aux espaces qu’elle investit une perception nouvelle par l’utilisation d’une palette chromatique vive et lumineuse. Cette palette se révèle avec des outils à la dimension de son œuvre : des balais dont les traces laissent apparaître le mouvement et l’énergie du corps. Dans le hall du théâtre\, sur de grandes bandes plastifiées\, les surfaces colorées sont agencées de telles façons qu’elles forment des colonnes de plusieurs mètres qui viennent s’apposer au mur circulaire de la salle de spectacle. Dans son installation\, où les visiteurs sont invités à circuler\, un dialogue se crée entre l’œuvre et l’architecture\, c’est-à-dire\, entre les volumes\, les espaces\, les couleurs et la lumière. \n« Qu’elle immerge le visiteur dans un environnement enveloppant ou qu’elle le confronte à des objets hypnotiques\, Elsa Tomkowiak provoque une expérience directe\, physique\, sensorielle de l’architecture\, de la peinture et du lieu. pour sujet la représentation du quotidien\, du XVIIe siècle à nos jours\, autant sous une forme contemplative qu’expérimentale. \nElle questionne le rôle de l’artiste comme témoin d’un monde de son époque\, observateur privilégié de ce qui l’entoure et de ses semblables. Natures mortes\, objets usuels\, mais aussi scènes de vie ordinaires composent ce parcours qui incite à repenser notre rapport au monde et aux objets environnants. \nSans tenir compte de classements traditionnels\, les œuvres sont présentées par liens analogiques\, rencontres de gestes et de couleurs\, rapprochements de formes ou de lumières. Le dialogue entre les deux collections offre une approche originale des œuvres et en fait surgir des signes et des sens nouveaux. Les juxtapositions les plus inattendues pourront ainsi être lues et interprétées librement par les visiteurs. \nL’exposition Témoins de l’ordinaire regroupe une trentaine d’œuvres et réalisées par dix-sept artistes.
